Laurence was born on the 15th July 1921 in Tullow Co Carlow to parents Michael & Annamarie Keogh. He was the 2nd oldest of 6 children. The family lived between Ireland & Germany eventually settling back in Dublin. Laurence married the love of his life Ann (Nancy) Cullen from Lackagh Monasterevin Co Kildare in April 1953. They set up home in Walkinstown. Dublin 12 and went on to have 5 children 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. This was a loving and welcoming home to family and friends through the years. Laurence loved gardening and kept an amazing one growing all his own vegetables & fruits. He continued gardening into his 80’s and only gave up when Nancy passed away in March 2008. Laurence reached his 100th Birthday on the 15th July 2021 celebrated at home with his family. Laurence passed away at home on the 22nd August 2021. In memory of a loving Husband, Father,Grandad & Great Grandad on his 1st Anniversary away from home. Forever loved and never forgotten.

I count my blessings every day that I had such an amazing relationship with you Grandad! You where and always will be a huge part of my life. I miss you more than ever . I miss downland road, I miss our sing song sessions and miss making you laugh.
100 years on this earth was an amazing achievement! But no matter what it was never easy to say goodbye to you . Untill we meet again I’ll keep playing our songs ♥️ forever and always your Lisa xx
